I spent some serious quality time in Richmond - arguably one of the cooler suburbs of the greater Melbourne, Australia area.

The apartment was small - maybe 600 square feet (which, to be fair, is pretty decent sized in NYC terms). The awesome bonus, however, was the 600 square foot deck facing Cathedral Hill and the view of the Melbourne CBD from it.

I became a pseudo Aussie as a result. I can now poach eggs, make toast, and roast tomatoes on a gas "barbie" - all while fully enjoying a fair trade, organic, skim flat white...

To quote the Bracken, "it was a fair bit of all right" !
